 *  In a commendable effort to improve sanitation and public health, the BOS Foundation has successfully evacuated a long-standing refuse dump in Mampong Newtown.  This refuse dump, which had plagued the community for years, has finally been cleared, much to the relief of residents. The refuse dump, previously a health hazard, was a breeding ground for pests and a source of diseases for the local population.  Its removal marks a significant step in enhancing sanitation standards and addressing environmental challenges in the area. SDA COLLEGE OF EDUCATION CALLS FOR INFRASTRUCTURAL SUPPORT- SEKYERE SOUTH MUNICIPAL

  The SDA College of Education in Agona-Ashanti is calling for urgent attention to its infrastructure challenges, as the institution struggles to meet the demands of modern education. Speaking to the Principal of the College Dr Peter Attakora  stated that  the administration and students are expressing grave concerns over the inadequate and deteriorating infrastructure that is severely impacting academic activities.  According to him they need bus to convey students on off campus practice to the assigned schools back and forth but none of the successive government has been able to attend to their needs. In an interaction with the student body,they uncovered a growing   number of  concerns which were mostly  outdated facilities which has made teaching and learning increasingly difficult.    A devastating rainstorm that struck Sekyere Kumawu  has left 51 households and 8 schools severely affected, causing widespread damage and disruption.  The storm, which hit the area with fierce winds and heavy rainfall, has displaced several residents and disrupted the education of hundreds of students. The National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has been working tirelessly to assess the extent of the damage and provide immediate relief to the affected residents.
