OUR MAJOR PRIORITY IS TO TURN OUR LOCAL ECONOMY INTO A CASHEW HUB-DCE SEKYERE CENTRAL.


  
The DCE for the Sekyere Central Hon Kwadwo Banahene Badiako has stated emphatically that the major priority of the District Assembly of which he presides over is to augment the successful implementation of the government flagship program dubbed   PLANTING FOR EXPORT AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT. According to him ,they have decided to raise one million cashew seedlings for farmers within the district on free count to enable them go extra mile with regard to cashew cultivation.He recounted that for the past three years they had raised more than fifty thousand cashew seedlings for farmers in the area . He added that if their vision sees the light of the day and with the able support of the farmers an industry would be establish to help build their local economy into a higher pedestal.
   He brought fore this during interactions with OMONO TV news when he teamed up with the BEPOSO TRADITIONAL COUNCIL to distribute 150,000 thousand cashew seedlings to more than hundred farmers.
