Speaking to the district veterinary officer,Mr Daniel Adomako Stated that more than 90,0000 which represent 60% of toll death of livestocks are recorded in a year out of the endowed 157,000 animals in the district.According to him the common diseases which normally affect the animals are the mange and the PPR which is more financial driving before many of such animals could be treated. A 72YR Old retired educationist Mr Andrews Atta Kwadwo has been burnt to death at Daaman a suburb of Ashanti Mampong. Explaining the sad incident, the younger brother of the deceased,Mr Samuel Boateng bemoaned that his brother was setting weeds around his uncompleted building ablaze but got trapped by the fire along the line. He continued that,the deceased felt down in his attempt of escaping the fire and died.
